Mr. Uzeyir Onur - Headteacher

Dear Students and Parents,

explore Marathon Science School

The curriculum prepares pupils effectively for the next stages of their education and makes a strong contribution to their personal development. The school prepares them well for life in modern Britain.

Our Curriculum

The school aims to provide pupils with an accessible, broad and balanced curriculum for learning. It delivers the National Curriculum subjects, supplemented with Islamic Sciences, designed to cater for pupils’ academic, moral, spiritual, cultural and physical development.

We believe the wider curriculum (offered formally/informally) will produce mature, well-educated young people, who will as responsible citizens, contribute positively to the society they live in, portraying true values of peace, tolerance, harmony, and appreciation for life-long learning.

Our School is graded

Marathon School is inspected by United Kingdom's independent inspection authority Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. OFSTED inspects services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. It also inspects and regulates services that care for children and young people.

Dear Families
I hope you are well.
As you know we have been trying to keep the school open in spite of all the difficulties.
I appreciate all your support on this matter.
However with the announcement from the government to move London to level 3, indicating
that virus is a very dangerous level and
putting children, staff and families at greater risk.
Most of the London boroughs have now recommended to close the schools early for holidays.
In line with this advice, Marathon Science School will break up for the end of term holidays on
Wednesday 16th of December 2020.
The boarding will continue with the Islamic studies enrichment program until following
Wednesday 23rd December.
Marathon Science School will start the new term on Monday the 4th of January as usual.
Please contact the school office if you have any queries.
Kind regards
Uzeyir Onur
